Fasano get the second best waterfront deal in this city? While I would
like to see the building saved, I find it unfair for someone to buy
this property years later and people are subject to looing their homes
and businesses. People who have been here before the redevelopment.

You are kindred spirit of Deputy Mayor Bruno who appears to hold the
opinion that "old time" residents have more say in this city. There is
no seniority. If you went to the meeting last night or even past
meetings, you would have heard Fasano himself say that he offered to
sell back the Baronet and the Fastlane to Fishman for his actual costs
at NO PROFIT when the time came that the redevlopment needed these
parcels, which they do not now. The council, fortunately, has had a
change of heart and voted to table the vote until a private promise by
Fishman to keep operating the Baronet for a while (and replace it with
other theater space) is binding. Unfortunately, that promise did not
include the promise to retain the Baronet but some other council
members may have something to say about that. We do not care who owns
the Baronet as long as it stays. There is only ONE 1913 theater in AP,
why lose a part of such history? If the council wants to, let them vote
to acquire it for Fishman by eminent domain but ALSO pass an ordinance
protecting it as an historic building. No breach of contract, just a
separate and unrelated police power. Fishman has no case.
The real action is at council meetings, not this forum, make a
difference and attend.
