Don't know. I'm not THAT old. But I'm sure we both heard the same thing.
I do remember my grandmother telling someone that the mayor helped
her "get into" the new senior tower (Presbyterian Homes) at 8th along
with her friend sadie...I think she was worried they wouldn't let two
little old Jewish ladies in.
Otherwise the stories about Kramer are what they are. Respected and
hated.
