Good and let's hope we'll be able to contribute to the project somehow...
Let me say that for now I've found a good-enough workaround for my
problem...we use regular font (which also has required glyphs, but not
so nice) for normal text and when we need those symbols, we just switch
to the monospace font and render our symbol with simple +monospaced
text+ quoting (e.g. +{moon}+) which has very good signal-to-noice ratio
and it's pleasant to be used frequently.
Even better, mapping of the special font is conveniently tailored,
so instead of +{moon}+ it's also possible to just use +b+
instead of using attributes. :-)
