That's interesting. I have reinstall asciidoc and removed its files just 
before. My /usr/local/etc/asciidoc/xhtml11.conf begins with this:

include::html4.conf[]

Is that what you were talking about? It does not seems that the FreeBSD 
port modify the content of that file though.
