Root causes of bandhs in Assam? I am wondering what was the convincing reason that a bandh had to be called by the disgruntled group of the AGP on account of the ouster of Mr. P.K. Mahanta from the party, which paralysed normal life and brought all activities to a grinding halt in certain parts of Assam? Wasn't it simply an intra-party conflict?
