I have read some of Roy's work, some years ago. And I have tried to read her with an open mind. Somehow she smacks off as India's very own Jane Fonda. Fonda sat on an enemy tank, while Roy thought it prudent to visit Pakistan, empathised with them, at the height of tensions.
