Uttam,

Many moons ago, while in Cotton and during the 'ragging' season, one of
friends (who has become a well-known politician now), was with a group
ragging a young lady (freshman), and asked her why she wasn't wearing
mekhela-chaador (instead of pants). She replied that she would as soon as
the men started wearing dhuti-panjabi.
Well she is doing quite well in the good ole USA, after a fanstastic
educational achievement. The famous politician has, from what I hear, become
a multi-millionaire, and he never wasted anytime readings books.

As for women required to keep up the standards, men are real good at
enforcing the rules, but don't expect them to follow them too :)

But what do you make of this? What is this secret agent (007?) of
meethapati?
**
*The outfit also claimed the responsibility for killing one non-local Prasad
(35), who worked as an agent of meethapati, zarda and khaini at
Ningthoukhong in Manipur's Bishnupur district. He was awarded capital
punishment on Monday at around 6.30 pm for failing to heed to the repeated
warnings of the outfit.*

In this day and age?
