I am planning to join a course next spring - by the famous Michael Porter at Harvard Business School. The title seems to be close to my beliefs:
The Microeconomics of Competitiveness: Firms, Clusters, & Economic Development
http://ksgfaculty.harvard.edu/michael_porter -which he is teaching at KSG. His other courses are at HBS.
And by microeconomics it means that a region or nation can progress through efforts of its individuals and companies -- and not just by macro -eco. policies of the govts.
And even if the govt is ignorant - people can still use their entrepreneurial skills to get rich and successful in the business world.
It is upto the people of Assam and the North East to carve a niche for themsleves in the business world - and not blame the tools.
