That is indeed an awesome bit of news. Actually too good to
believe. And that is where my curiosity is: How and who will pay
for it? Where is Assam going to get the funds to put the scheme in
place? And if it is not funded adequately what could happen?
Being economically challenged, I also have this concern that what if
it is yet another scam promoted by insurance conglomerates, who will
take its premiums up-front and declare bankruptcy once the going gets
tough?

Also, free health and accident insurance for all citizens upto to the age of 90. Isn't it just great? At least in this regard, Assam will be on the 1st row with some of the developed countries (Canada and the Netherlands(?), to name a few?) in the world, not even the US has been able to have done that.
