Bribing has become institutionalised. For businessmen it's a good investment, For lesser mortals like us, it's a means to lessen the hassles. I think there is not a single person in India, who has not bribed someone, sometime.

To be practical: Equal crime partner: In case if you are taking advantage of the situation in your favor. e.g. bribing TT for seat reservation in crowded train. In other cases, its MAJBOORI. If you have to wait 7 days to get your electricity fixed, and then pay RS.1000 so that they come and fix it. Its not criminal on the part of giver at all. --- D Dutta <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <dutta.d%40nic.in>> wrote: --------------------------------- "Taking bribe and "giving bribe" are equal crime partners. Luckily you confessed , but there are thousands who have already bribed with lakh of rupees but would never reveal that he/she had bribed evenif his/her job/work doesn't pass through. They are prime responsible for the unprecedented rise of bribing in our country. dibya Re: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/assamonline/message/3193
