1. If there are literals under a base register.

2. IIRC the assembler does not allow indexed literals.

So go (since you have already allocated R15 for the BR):

       LA    R15,=A(RTN01,RTN02,RTN03,RTN04)
       L     R15,0(R15,R2)
       BR    R15
