Oh look: there it is: Chapter 5 Non-VSAM Macro Instructions
under the heading
"OPEN—Connect program and data (BDAM, BISAM interface to VSAM,

and the sub-section titled "OPEN return codes"
Oh, wait. Do you want VSAM OPEN return codes? Then the
same book, Chapter 3 "VSAM macro return and reason codes"
