64-bit shared storage is actually a better fit (semantically) with what you're 
describing than dataspaces are. The 64-bit sharing and access mechanisms are 
more modern, sophisticated/useful. I have used dataspaces intensively since 
they were first made available but would never do so again. There's no 
compelling reason to change existing code that works, but for new development 
the space above the bar is the only logical choice.
