Driving the CPU at 100% I get 26926 samples. This is 10 percent less
than the 30000 I expected, but I should allow a little slack for the
sampling itself.

But what puzzles me most is the fact that the LPP(*1) I give ahead of
activating it via LSCTL(*2) is ignored for the first 87 entries. I give
it just for the fun of it (now), but the results for an op-sys needing
it would be irritating.

Does anyone have an idea?

*1 LPP load programm parameter - allows to set 8 bytes depending on what
level the machine runs

*2 LSCTL among others is used here to activate sampling at certain
intervals
