I was the original cause by stating something wrong about VSE (Peter: and it is exactly the way you described it (for z/OS) in z/VSE as well). Since we are comparing notes already- the described behavior (not getting what you ask for and a return-code tells what was not satisfied) is the case for operand PAGEFRAMESIZE=MAX - if the system can't cope it gives a return-code (but still satisfies the request for storage). -- Martin Pi_cap_CPU - all you ever need around MWLC/SCRT/CMT in z/VSE more at http://www.picapcpu.de
