I sometimes wish the Principles of Operation would along those lines avoid
to allocate some of the pages in the preface. Somehow reading phrases like
"described in Reference [23.] on page xxx." makes me program check each
time :-)
It would actually be enough to keep such a page blank so that we don't have
references to it.
