No. We don't use BAKR. We use BASSM/BSM when calling services external to the current CSECT/MODULE.
We don't use traditional save areas either. We use a PUSH/POP stack that saves/restores registers and provides dynamic working storage for "automatic" variables. The stack relies upon guard pages rather than limit checking to reduce path length in the PUSH/POP logic.
