There has not been a core-image library since about 1983 (VSE/SP
v1), I think. At around that time all libraries were merged into one that
could contain any type of object or source member.

I came on the IBM DOS/VSE scene in 1980 and there was a core-image
library at that time -- but everything was already relocatable by that
time, also. I think that happened with the transition from DOS/VS to
DOS/VSE in 1979.
