Opinions should be welcome here, dev, tester, whatever. You are all here in one capacity or another to accomplish a common goal. Developers should be listening to testers and vice-versa. People post because they care about the project and want to see the best things done for it. The communication between everyone involved should be open, honest, and not subject to attack or ridicule.
If people are going to be hounded for sharing opinions about what you are doing to accomplish that goal, then you are seriously limiting what you can achieve.
