The timeout is customizable. You are really discussing here the value
of a SPF timeout feature? Amazing.
"SPF specific" means here, that there is no timeout built into the SPF
module. I could have used silently the RBL timeout and nobody would
have seen an  extra option for SPF timeout.
The SPF lookup is *very* dangerous, because it depends on the quality
of the foreign dns.
I have a lot of reports where SPF with bad responses slows ASSP
considerably down. With the timeout, these sites reported excellent
success.
