Between 10.5 and 10.7, I introduced code to allow IPv6 addresses
in configuration strings. My code wasn't quite right in 10.7 but
was fixed by 11.1.
That said, if you don't use IPv6 addresses in any config strings
(you only have IPv4 addresses), you are essentially running the same
code as was there in 10.5 and prior. The IPv6 support was an addition
rather than a change to existing code.
Between 10.5 and 10.7 the only other change is to allow PenalyExtreme
checking early. By 11.1, there are a few other logging changes as
well.
First, please try rc11.1 to see if the problem persists there. It's
on Fritz's site.
11.1 has been running well for me on FreeBSD for over 24 hours now.
If you still have problems with 11.1, you may want to enable DEBUG so
that when it freezes again, the debug log might give some insight into
what was recently happening.
