Would a spammer really care about damping? It's a great tool for letting other sysadmins know somethings wrong with their system (ie, they would see their queues backing-up, and hopefully investigate why..)
But surely a spammer would "fire and forget"... Surely he wouldn't care if his spam took 10 seconds, 2 minutes, 1 hour, or even never arrives.. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about damping. I just see it fits into the "misconfigured mta" category more than the "spammer" category.. Or have I missed something?
