I've not even looked at this configuration in many months. As I recall, I had the default setting: zen.spamhaus.org|ix.dnsbl.manitu.net|bl.spamcop.net|psbl.surriel.com|safe.dnsbl.sorbs.net|blackholes.five-ten-sg.com|dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net|dnsbl-2.uceprotect.net|dnsbl-3.uceprotect.net|list.dsbl.org|ix.dnsbl.manitu.net|bhnc.njabl.org Apparently, changes were made that 'broke' earlier settings. This brings up a separate issue: I'm not sure how such changes help when one has assp do the auto download and update. The admin would have no idea that the format and/or values of the default settings had changed. this could get messy, in the long run. :-/ > I do not understand that you are saying, that whitelisting is not working > against this problem. Either way, it does not change the problem that, in this case, a message from a valid whitelisted sender e-mail address (from a server that has sent and will continue to send spam, irrespective of whether it's in a DNSBL) does not make it through. > Whitelisting is the main tool against this and its working. Which is why the e-mail address was already in the white list. I had seen that the sender domain had problems with its MX and A records. I put the e-mail address in the white list, and that resulted in the log line saying that DNSBL was a problem. Maybe there's no relationship between the two attempts at sending a message, but having had the e-mail address in the message, should have got the message through. Problem is that it did not. Either there's more to the problem, or it seems a change is needed. Given that the address is in the white list, I've no idea what that change may have to be. It should, however, be a change that is not a temporary work around for just one message/sender.
