My understanding is that, yes that is correct, but assuming the spam
gets through in the first place, you can place a regular expression in
the no-processing options which will prevent whitelisting.  At least
some e-mail servers insert something to indicate an automated response
and you can pick some key expressions (such as I will be out of the
office) and create regular expressions.
