Hi folks,

I am new to assp and ran directly into a problem after
installation/configuration with postfix.
I searched the forum and of course google and in deed I found some threads
about this issue, unfortunatly without any solution.

Let me describe what is my problem:

##################
telnet server 25
> helo mypc123
< OK
> mail from:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
< OK
> rcpt to:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
< OK
> DATA
< OK, end with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF>
subject: test
this is a testmail
.

##################

Nothing happens. I don't get a 250 OK answer. BUT if I sent another "." the
mail will be accepted queued!!!

This are the logs:

################## POSTFIX
Jul 29 00:21:34 myserver postfix/smtpd[9420]: connect from
unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jul 29 00:21:50 myserver postfix/smtpd[9420]: BFCC41501C2E4:
client=unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jul 29 00:21:55 myserver assp[32448]: id-56613023 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] passing if safe because testmode,
otherw ise missing MX/A
Jul 29 00:24:03 myserver postfix/smtpd[9420]: lost connection after DATA from
unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jul 29 00:24:03 myserver postfix/smtpd[9420]: disconnect from
unknown[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
##################

################## ASSP
Jul-29-07 00:21:55 id-56613023 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] passing if safe because testmode, otherwise missing MX/A
##################

Does anyone know why assp is not able to tell postfix that the mail has been
received and is ready for delivery?

At first I thought this issue has been solved with the current version. But I
was false.
Telnet session from my workstation works now like a charm (dial up connection),
but a telnet from a different server leeds to the same situation as described
above.

best regards

Stefan
