Hi Michael, My mailserver is in deed located behind a iptables netfilter. I think that's ok because everyone should put a firewall before DMZ.
Please take few seconds and read this post from someone in the sourceforge forum: http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4432781 He has the same problem. That's the guy I was talking about. He is using assp in life environment with several thousand "lost connection after DATA" errors in mail.log. I think I will give it a try today and turn assp on. At the end of the day I will take a look in mail.log and grep for lost connections after DATA. best regards Stefan On Thursday 09 August 2007 23:46:17 Micheal Espinola Jr wrote: > Stefan Haupt wrote: > > Hi Michael, > > > > some people wrote into the sourceforge forum, that this problem happens > > as well IRL. someone quotet 2000 lost connection from mail.log within > > 13hours :-(((( I don't want to test this IRL :-/ > > When operating through a firewall/proxy, sometimes a manual telnet > session does not operate as expected.
