Ditto - I do the same.  It truly helps a great deal.

Caveat:  I was previous blocking .cc, but had to open it up a little bit
because of the .cc domains promotion as a .com replacement - but
all-in-all, filtering based on IP and sender domains can help
significantly; if you are in a position to be able to do it without
disrupting legitimate communications.
