Thanks, not to familiar with notational. Although on Gentoo we do have all kinds of various package versions to deal with. :)
Well, I made up calling it "notational". Its just based on my observations - as are many things relating to this thread, but thats how I have perceived how the versioning works. Of course, Fritz would be able to provide the penultimate answer to that question.
For the record (since I seem to be one of the only few posting about 1.3.3.10 here and on the forums), I didn't have anything to do with the release of 1.3.3.10. These are just my perceived understandings of the hows and why's of it all.
It has confused a few people, and apparently aggravated some others. *But it was only meant to help!*
I wish someone would update the ASSP Source Forge homepage description, or give me access to do it myself. The description as it currently reads is for the initial release of 1.3.3, and not any subsequent point-releases. I'm guessing the "1.3.3.10" in the description is a variable for the project's latest version - but thats another assumption on my part. I make that assumption though, because I don't think Kevin would update the text to say 1.3.3.10 and leave everything else the way it is. I know him, and he wouldn't do that. He probably isn't aware of what it currently says because he has no reason to go to main page for the project.
