Chaps I don't want to start a flamewar here but this really is my
2c (for what it's worth).

Maybe, you should stop writing down new versions and focus on the
functionality.

Only recently have I joined this list. I've been using ASSP since
the john hanna days and the last stable version that works for me
is 1.2.6 (linux slackware custom made with XMail v1.4).
After that version, things have gone strange.

I am currently maintaining three such installations and all three
have the same configs. Only the domains differ.
I did try some version at a clients' site at some point which was
newer than 1.2.6 and it never worked.

If you ask me (I repeat if you want my opinion), ASSP has gone really
complicated. The operations panel on the left has much too many buttons
and functionalities that have bewildered me on the newer versions.
I really _want_ (badly, I might add), to use the latest versions.
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of time and test equipment, so I
am forced to stick to what I know best.
I am not saying that I am right on this. I am sure I am missing something
on the newer versions, but please don't make things complicated.
I don't thing it's good for anyone.

Again, apologies if I am being blunt but this really is my opinion.

Regards,

spyros
