Hello,
I am seeking advice. I am not a real software jock so be gentle with me.
I have an ASSP installation that has been working fine for a couple years.
No problems at all. Am using Mac OS X 10.4.9. As of a week ago, this happy
stable system has crashed perl roughly every couple hours. My temporary
workaround is to set up a cron job to restart this box every hour. Crude
but effective.
I think assp is the only perl app that I have running. When it crahes, I
see the following in my system console:
>Jul 30 17:48:39 www2 crashdump[252]: perl crashed
>Jul 30 17:48:39 www2 crashdump[252]: crash report written to:
>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/perl.crash.log
I have the crash log if that would be helpful but is all greek to me.
I am wondering if perhaps my spam db is too large, or if some other thing
has gone beyond the bounds of my system. I tried copying over new perl
scrips from my backup system, but no joy.
Any suggestion on what is going on here and how I mighth fix this?
Many thanks. ASSP has been a wonderful solution for us, but the last week
has been a little ugly.
