Thanks for the suggestion. I did install 1.2.6. In addition, I noticed
that my "max simultaneous smtp sessions" was set at 4000. Seems VERY high
to me. I lowered that to 200, thinking it was a memory issue.
Unfortunately, upgrading and changing this setting did not fix the
problem. Still crashing every few hours.

Here is where my lack of knowledge shows. I am clueless when it comes to
compiling from source. Is there a standalone installer for my Mac OS
10.4.9? Or a simple "How to" that can walk me through this? I understand
that Fritz latest version requires Perl 5.8.8. To minimize the variables,
I guess I would prefer to re-install my current version of Perl and stay
with assp 1.2.6 for now.
Thanks again for bearing with me on my lack of knowledge. Have always
thought assp is so useful, would be nice to turn it into a commercial
product.
