ASSP will fill the folders up to the MaxFiles limit. After that, it will begin
to "randomly" replace emails in the folders (not from the oldest). Your
spam/notspam directories never empty once they've reached the MaxFiles limit
(unless you delete them yourself or you get a whole bunch that are in redre).
You see, this way ASSP gradually learns about the new types of spam and can
apply them along with the old ones to create a "most current" database for your
organization. As far as I know, you should not have to run rebuildspamdb.pl
more than once or twice a day. Running rebuildspamdb.pl refreshes the database
using the current content in the spam/notspam folders.
As I don't run reports for my end-users, I don't know how the overwriting of
spam/notspam will effect you. Isn't your report gathered from the log files?
Regards,
Brett

Subject: Re: [Assp-user] Informing Users (Parse The Logs)
Hmm, let me explain about my question.
Because of my busy mail system so I dont know when my spam/ham folders
reach the maxfiles limit and after that, as I know the ASSP will overwrite
existing emails (the newest overwrites the oldest?) --> if my rebuild spam DB
schedule hasn't started yet --> my spam/ham/user's report (user's spam report
will be copied to spam/ham folders? correct me if wrong) are not recognized.
Because of that prob so I *just want* ASSP runs the rebuild spam DB when the
spam/ham folders reach the maxfiles automatically, after that remove/delete
those spam/ham emails and start a new process from the "beginning", of course,
the next rebuild spam DB will add new data to the existing Bayesian DB was
created.
Naturally, I can make a schedule to run rebuild spam DB 48 times/day,
2 times per hour :)
Just my 2cent, coz I'm out of position to receive *just* 1-2k emails
per day :)
