I can't risk that as this is my main production server, and I would have to do it only as last resort. Last but not least, the restarts occur mainly during the day. At night there is some restarting as you can see by the previous logs, but not very often, so assp failures are related to MTA usage. I attach the exim daily mailstat graph as generated by Munin (Note that I *think* that this application only analyses exim and not assp throughput - but im not sure).
