I can't decipher this either Mike. It would be great if there were a clearly defined set of system requirements for starter....
We need BerkeleyDB 5+? We need 32-bit perl? Where are the system requirements stated? My experience is that V1 is reliable,but does not filter as accurately (provided it is configured correctly) and V2 is quite unstable but filters more accurately. I've been considering making an effort to help some people on this list, as I have multiple years of experience running and configuring ASSP, but without basic things such as system requirements and up-to-date documentation (much of the forum references ASSP V 2.0, current is 2.2 or 2.3), it's impossible to expect to be any real help. My transition from V1 to V2 was rough, and I'm still not done with it yet as it crashes daily due to memory leaks.
