Erm... I wrote a test module (see
http://svn.nrubsig.org/svn/people/gisburn/scripts/tests/unfixed_tests/sun_solaris_script_l10n.sh)
to watch over the msg*-utilities and ksh93 in ast-open that they work
properly together ...
