I just ran a dmesg (see output below) and this looks much better than it did originally (originally I didn't have zaptel_enable="YES" in rc.conf, I wonder if that was all I needed, along with my security being disabled).
It appears I'm ready to configure asterisk and use this card, let me know if you think there's something more (hardware/drive/device wise I need to do).
