Use the codec command in your dial-peer. Or a voice-class so you can
have multiple supported codecs.

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Anybody know about Cisco VOIP routers?

We are trying to reduce our bandwidth requirements,
and want to use a codec that will achieve that
but will not perceptibly reduce quality. We are
thinking about G726r16.

How would we activate this codec on a Cisco
3640?
