There is no global "ideal" solution. The solution that is ideal for *you* depends on many factors: - What will the tunnel be used for? - How secure do you want the tunnel to be? - What is your level of familiarity with linux networking/routing? - etc., etc. Pick something - be it vtund, OpenVPN, Racoon, IAX trunk encryption, ssh tunnels, etc. Play with it and see if it's something that will fulfill your requirements.
