autocreatepeer
I just found out about this today from the
Asterisk-Dev mailing list.
The email was from John Bigelow and is as follows:

This will allow any sip user to register with asterisk
with no 
authentication.
So if you are lazy or for whatever reason do not want
to create the 
peers in the
sip.conf you can set autocreatepeer=yes in sip.conf
and anyone can 
place calls 
through the system.
