Hey Corban and Simon,
Thank you for the positive comments about our VoIP services.
Here's some new upcoming features schedule in May 2005 on our VoIP gateways:
- Support SIP RE-INVITE
- VoIP Call Statistics included in the CDRs:
Total packet received
Total packet dropped
Total packet jittered
- Billing increments will be in 6 seconds increments instead of 60
seconds.
We're also looking at opening up more locations in B.C. and Alberta before
the end of this year.
Hope to see guys at the Asterisk Toronto User Group meeting this Friday.
Take care,
Stephan Monette

Subject: Re: [on-asterisk] Unlimitel.ca
I also agree, after some initial testing I found the quality from
unlimitel.ca to be very clear and no drop outs. Finally took the time to
configure my PBX for outgoing calls on the weekend and now I use it
exclusively for that. It's really nice to get the daily statements in my
inbox to find that with all the long distance toronto calls I havent
even burned through my fist dollar. Until I get my FXS card I am
rerouting incoming calls out to my bell land line so I can use a normal
phone:
incoming call (unlimitel) -> my PBX -> outgoing call(unlimitel) -> PSTN
-> my land line
And there is no noticeable delay. Paying another 1.1 cents a minute
for the call forwarding is still a drop in the bucket.
I have been encountering some problems, where my server will just
randomly stop accepting incoming calls. Phone the DID number and it will
ring once and then get busy signal, Reboot server and it will work fine
again. Im not sure what the problem is but Im guessing its the fact
that I only have 64 MB of RAM. If anyone knows an other reason or
solution to stop asterisk from doing this let me know.
