It's not that I don't think Simon isn't doing a great job but he did ask what
he should do
I said if it is not mandatory then don't bother but if he feels more
comfortable then go ahead.
I just hope that the membership will come up with the extra donations(which is
a financial risk).
Anyway, I going to look at Monty Python now.

Henry, I agree that the world shouldn't be this way but it is. I have to agree with Doug. It's entirely unfair to ask Simon, who already does plenty out of the goodness of his heart, to assume any liability (although admittedly small).

Unfortunately, if we have to trade off a table or something, then maybe those are the breaks. Is it too late to change the name on the booth? I could put it under my corporation's name. I don't have a blanket insurance policy but I could bankrupt the thing before they took my home. Is that a better comprimise? I somebody else incorporated with the proper insurance already that would be willing to do the registration in their name.

Bottom line: It's not reasonable to ask Simon to take the bullet on this one. We shoudl pull together and find a solution.

    Doug ...get a grip.
We are not demonstrating farm equipment here.
    This insurance is NOT mandatory.
Our group does'nt even have membership fees so why would we be
    expected to have
$2 million liability insurance ? + fire and thieft ect.
Who would the policy be made out to "TAUG" is NOT a legal entity.

We are already over budget and spending money like a drunk sailor.
If you can get enough donations by Monday then fine but just saying
    we need more donations
is not helpful. As for the other "Stuff" if we can save a few bucks
    whats wrong with that?
