It depends on what the topic is about, something point and click through like doing something specific in freepbx this would work well. But for things that aren't broilerplate recepies but concepts you have to understand written documents with feedback forms are much better.
So maybe we should have the taug blaug for all of us to write about asterisk , this way people can get feedback and answer questions and have the option to post videos or whatever. With as many contributing users as we have, there will be tons of articles on this blog available all the time. --- Shidan Gouran On 9/6/06, Chuck Mariotti <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
If I might share a thought... Although I think writing documents is great, it doesn't quite have the same affect it once did. There are a flood of documents out there that people seem to blow over, incomplete wiki's which asterisk (and Trixbox) is somewhat lacking in many aspects and all of which are scattered to the winds throughout the web. Personally, I find it frustrating. If I was someone interested in making a dent in making Asterisk more mainstream and available to the masses, I would be making the effort to do this as a video tutorial WITH supporting documents, etc... It will have a much bigger affect, bring Taug to the masses (since there is a lack of tutorial content) and show the thought process, opinions, tricks and real situations that a writer can't or doesn't usually make available. Producing and hosting videos is relatively easy now. Just a thought. Regards, Chuck -----Original Message----- From: Simon P. Do any of you have some interesting projects that are bucking the trend that you'd like/are allowed to talk about with me? Would anyone else like to write a monthly (or maybe less regular) column?
