system went into a loop for about 10 mins, after rebooting all came online

I check for /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl and I can see this file is
there. nothing in freePBX is working properly

My trunks and other settings are still there but my Extensions have been
deleted and the red bar is on top, once I click on it I get this

"Cannot connect to Asterisk Manager with admin/amp111"

Help please. and thanks.

Ps. Also yum –y install kernel-dev gives me this "No Match for argument:
kernel-dev" "Nothing to do"

If all you're trying to do is rebuild zaptel, Trixbox comes with a
command that will do that for you: rebuild_zaptel.

If you find that you actually do need the Kernel dev stuff, you will need
to install it as the latest version of Trixbox does not come with these
files. Use "yum –y install kernel-dev" (without the quotes) to install the
kernel development package.

*Subject:* [on-asterisk] can not locate kernels directory

[newbie]
I updated yum today by typing {yum update} after the update and reboot I
went to the trixbox web gui and went to Asterisk Info I got this error
"Unable to connect to remote asterisk (does /var/run/asterisk/asterisk.ctl
exist?"

I found somewhere that I needed to rebuild the Zaptel drivers. So I set
out to do so
As part of the instructions I needed to navigate to the
[/usr/src/kernels/] directory
hmmm Hines my problem, I can not find this directory, In my /user/src
directory I have the fallowing sub-directory's

a2billing freepbx-2.1.2 sipsak-0.8.11 zaptel
asterisk-perl-0.08 nwebmail-0.1.80 xplast zaptel-1.2.5.tar.gz
freepbx redhat xplhub

I will get to the fixing the original problem later but for now.
where is the *Kernels* directory it seems to be in the same place for
everyone else but me. How do I locate the *Kernels* directory

Thanks...
