Assuming you are just using this for SOHO the demands are not that great so echo cancellation may not be an issue especially if you use a good ITSP for outgoing calls. The echo support for the single card is minimal so if you intend to expand from one FXO port then I would certainly get the wildcard. Just as an aside, you may want to check out the Granstream 4 port FXO box They are very new, so I don't have any real information on them, but they seem to be good value for money. There would seem to be a need for FXO ports from 4 ports to 16 ports. My personal preference would be a separate unit so that it takes the load off the PCI bus and processor.
