Sure, The key system has already been setup with all the basics. Auto-Attendant, voicemail etc. There are currently 8 sets.
Rather then throw away the key system (I'm sure there's many arguments why I should) my intention is to retrofit it with an asterisk box so that I can add more extensions, and take advantage of some of Asterisks many great features. I guess it would make sense to migrate the AA to the Asterisk box and have the key system more or less act as a dumb terminal with digital sets. So, extensions on the key system can speak to extensions on asterisk and vice versa. I'm not sure how incoming calls would be routed, but they would come in through the Asterisk box and then be handed off to the key system. There are several different ways to handle this, and it all depends on what you want the asterisk system to be doing for you. Can you describe your application a bit more?
