Hi Richard, That's certainly possible in Asterisk. I can't say specifically how it would be done in Trixbox 2.0.
The complicating factor here is that Trixbox uses a macro to dial out. You can edit their macro to append your characters but then when you upgrade, you'll lose that little edit. Another option that should work (although I haven't tested it) is to put a copy of their macro, with the same name, in the extensions_custom.conf file. Modify the custom copy to append your characters. Your modified macro would take precedence over theirs and wouldn't be overwritten in an upgrade. That's the good news and the bad news, if the upgrade makes an important change to the macro, you won't be running it and it might just break the whole thing. In short, you can certainly make a small change to a conf file and it will do what you want. The bad news is that you'll have to pay close attention when you upgrade. You might consider posting to the Trixbox forums to see if you get a better answer. I've spent a little bit of time with Trixbox but I'm no guru by any means and I haven't looked at a current version in several months. I hope this helps a bit. Hi all, I have a ZAP trunk configured in trixbox 2.0 and it works great. However, as this trunk requires every outgoing calls to be appeneded by a '#' sign, I would like to see if I can simply change a conf setting somewhere to hardcode this '#' in. Preferably, I would like to have a 2 seconds delay followed by a #. So, number + 2secs delay + #. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
