Regardless of the technical limitations of SIP-DECT is essentially does
what it supposed to do, but it also has market limitations.
The only clear market is institutions like hospitals and even that has
problems i.e. does it interfere with other equipment like heart monitors?
Another limitation is the lack of handset types and a static business phone
For Aastra, I can't understand why they don't make range of wi-fi phones
The cost of cabling is about $100 so why don't they fit the 55i with
a wi-fi connection add $80 to the price and sell them like hot cakes?
I'm rambling on a bit but you get my point.....
