In addition to the OpenWRT and Gumstix projects, there is also the uCasterisk/Astfin project: http://www.rowetel.com/ucasterisk/index.html http://www.astfin.org/
I purchased one of these for my home setup. I wanted something with fxo/fxs connections that would use low power. Original I was going to use an old Pentium PC with a Sangoma fxo/fxs card, but I didn't want to leave that running 24 hours a day, just to deal with 10-15 phone calls per day. By the way, these products ship from Canada! http://ucpbx.com/index.php?productID=121 I'm still testing, so I can't provide any comments. They have a Single Span T1/E1 Card, so one would assume they think it can work in a production, small/mid size business application. http://www.rowetel.com/ucasterisk/pr1.html I did read of someone conducting tests with upwards of 40 simlutaneous SIP calls - but I can't confirm or deny these results.
