Forgot to mention, most of the linux firmwares pre-allocate 1/2 the ram
for tmpfs, when only 2-3M (size of the new firmware) is actually needed.

In the case of devices with 32M of ram, this means ~14M is allocated to
tmpfs, when at least 10M more can be allocated for the system/buffers/etc
