Duane, simon, and Ian, thanks for the great input. I have just picked up an HTC 
Magic and am anxious to find some time to check the ins and outs of it. So far 
it seems to be a really neat device. I like the apps and first one I looked at 
was the ShopSavvy barcode scanner which can be useful at times.
 
Duane, what do you mean by using it as a computer? can you please share the 
tools that you have found to be useful? I haven't tried to see if it's unlocked 
for root access or not but I have seen some posts that it is not.
